Larix

Larix is a specialized Russian information system used for managing city administrative data and social services records in Moscow. In 2013 a significant data breach occurred involving this system which resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 7.3 million residents of the Moscow region. The incident revealed sensitive demographic details that were reportedly part of an internal database used by local government authorities. The leaked data includes full names along with residential addresses and birth dates which poses a risk for targeted social engineering and identity verification fraud.
