In August 2022 a significant data breach involving the Indian lifestyle and shopping platform Little Black Book also known as LBB was identified when a database was posted on a public hacking forum. The incident exposed approximately 3 million records. While the leak was publicized in 2022 the data itself appears to be a collection of historical records with the most recent entries dating back to 2019. The breach included sensitive customer information such as email addresses physical locations and technical device identifiers. Analysis suggests the data was enriched with additional attributes making it more comprehensive for potential misuse in social engineering or phishing campaigns.
