Legendas

In October 2017 the Spanish subtitle community website Legendas suffered a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive information belonging to approximately 3.8 million subscribers. The compromised data included usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, full names, and passwords stored in plain text format. The breach occurred due to vulnerabilities in the web application that allowed unauthorized access to the user database. This incident posed a high risk to users who reused the same passwords across multiple platforms as the credentials were not encrypted.
