In April 2021 the Ukrainian pharmaceutical website lekfarm.ua suffered a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of sensitive user information for approximately 157 thousand customers. The leaked database contained personal details including full names and contact information. Technical analysis revealed that user passwords were stored as SHA1 hashes with salt which are considered vulnerable to modern cracking techniques. The breach compromised the privacy of medical consumers who used the platform for purchasing pharmaceutical products.
