In October 2023 the online store Limpopo56 specializing in childrens toys suffered a data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 5 thousand customers. The compromised data included email addresses, full names, and phone numbers. Additionally, internal security was bypassed leading to the theft of user passwords stored as MD5 hashes with salt and other sensitive metadata associated with customer accounts.
