Litres

On August 4 2023 the threat actor group known as NLB leaked a database belonging to Litres which is the largest ebook service in Russia and the CIS. The initial leak consisted of approximately 3 million records though the attackers claimed to possess a much larger dataset containing up to 97 million user entries. The compromised information includes user names email addresses and hashed passwords using the SHA1 algorithm. Many entries in the leaked file appeared to have empty fields for names and emails but the validity of the active user accounts was confirmed during the incident analysis.
