In July 2022 the Russian online clothing retailer Lokiswear suffered a data breach resulting in the exposure of sensitive customer information. The incident involved an unauthorized intrusion into the company network where attackers managed to extract a database containing personal details of approximately five thousand registered users. The leaked data was subsequently published online exposing user credentials and identity information. Analysis suggests the breach was caused by insufficient security measures on the web server allowing external actors to access the backend storage and download the user table in its entirety.
