Lomonosov School a Russian online educational platform focused on state exam preparation suffered a data breach in May 2021. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 3000 users. The breach occurred due to a security vulnerability that allowed unauthorized access to the database. The leaked records contained highly sensitive data including cleartext passwords and social media identifiers which significantly increases the risk of credential stuffing and identity theft for the affected students and platform users.
