Lyrics Mania

In December 2017 the lyrics database website Lyrics Mania suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of over 109 thousand users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and publication of user databases containing sensitive information. The leaked data included full names email addresses and plain text passwords which were stored without encryption. Despite the scale of the exposure the company did not provide official statements or responses regarding the security failure leaving affected users vulnerable to credential stuffing and identity theft attacks.
