In June 2022 the Mascot role playing application suffered a significant data breach affecting its user base. The incident led to the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive personal details through a security vulnerability or directed attack. Exposed information included usernames, full legal names, IP addresses, gender, phone numbers, and dates of birth. The breach impacted approximately 85.7 thousand individuals who used the mascot roleplay platform. This data can be used for social engineering and tracking of users across different digital services.
