In early 2017 the cyber security community identified a significant data breach involving MasHacker which was a popular Arabic hacking and technology forum. The incident resulted in the exposure of thousands of registered user accounts. The compromise occurred due to vulnerabilities in the forum software allowing unauthorized access to the underlying database. Leaked information included sensitive user credentials and personal identifiers which were later circulated on various underground hacking forums and darknet marketplaces.
