Matrix12

In January 2024 the Russian household appliances retailer Matrix12 suffered a significant cyberattack resulting in a data breach. Threat actors managed to compromise the web server and extract a database containing information on over 100000 customers. The leaked data includes personal identifiers like full names and contact details alongside sensitive information such as delivery addresses and hashed passwords using the MD5 algorithm. Banking records were also reportedly included in the dump increasing the risk of financial fraud for affected users.
