Megamarket a major Russian marketplace owned by Sberbank suffered a significant data exposure involving transaction history from the year 2024. The incident leaked details of approximately 50 million orders affecting about 10 million unique customers. The dataset includes sensitive identifiers and purchasing habits of users across Russia. Unlike a minor incident in 2023 that affected a small group of users this breach is massive in scale exposing detailed order contents and delivery information which poses a high risk of targeted phishing and social engineering attacks against the affected customer base.
