The incident involved the exposure of sensitive user information from the community forum database. Security researchers discovered that the site was compromised due to vulnerabilities in the forum software allowing unauthorized access to the member records. The leaked data included login credentials and personal identifiers of approximately 90000 registered fans worldwide.
