In early 2016 the MinecraftMarket platform which allows server owners to create webstores experienced a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive user account information from their database. The breach was primarily attributed to vulnerabilities in the web application that allowed unauthorized access to the underlying SQL database. Exposed data included usernames and email addresses along with hashed passwords of the registered users.
