In June 2021 the French Minecraft server known as Minestia experienced a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of sensitive user information from their database which was later shared on various underground hacking forums. The breach occurred due to vulnerabilities in the web infrastructure of the server allowing unauthorized access to the member records. The leaked data includes account identifiers and security credentials of thousands of players who registered on the platform.
