MirTesen

In July 2022 a significant data breach affected the Russian social network MirTesen. The incident resulted in the public exposure of a database containing approximately 17 million records. The leaked data includes user names and email addresses stored as MD5 hashes which are considered cryptographically weak and easily reversible. Additionally a separate file containing associated phone numbers was identified as part of the same leak. This exposure poses risks of phishing and unauthorized account access for the affected user base.
