Morele.net

In October 2018 the Polish ecommerce platform Morele.net experienced a significant security breach. An unauthorized party gained access to the customer database leading to the exposure of personal information. The breach involved millions of records and was widely reported after customers began receiving fraudulent SMS messages. The investigation revealed that the attackers managed to access the database through a vulnerability in the systems which allowed them to extract sensitive user data including hashed passwords and contact details.
