MSK Propiska 2014

A massive historical database containing registration records for residents of Moscow surfaced in early 2025. Although the data dates back to around 2014, it remained in private hands for over a decade before being leaked to the public. The dataset includes sensitive personal information of approximately 30 million individuals. The incident highlights the long term risks associated with historical data retention and the eventual exposure of legacy private archives. The breach contains deeply personal identifiers including full names, physical addresses, and multiple contact numbers per individual along with official government identification details.
