MuMaYi

In May 2011 the Chinese Android application marketplace MuMaYi suffered a significant data breach affecting its registered users. The incident involved the unauthorized access and exposure of a database containing sensitive subscriber information. The leak was characterized by the compromise of account credentials and personal identifiers which were subsequently circulated in the security community. The breach highlighted vulnerabilities in early mobile app store platforms in the Asian market.
