In May 2021 the Ukrainian website Soap-Opt.com.ua which specializes in soap and cosmetic supplies was compromised by hackers. The resulting database was leaked to the public in early 2024. The breach exposed approximately 60 thousand customer orders revealing sensitive personal information including names contact details and physical delivery locations. The incident highlights vulnerabilities in smaller e-commerce platforms regarding the storage of customer transaction history and personal data.
