In early 2017 the Vietnamese cosmetics and beauty portal MyPhamVina experienced a data security incident that resulted in the exposure of its user database. The breach involved the unauthorized access and subsequent leak of customer information including personal identifiers and contact details. The leaked data was later circulated on various underground forums and darknet communities specializing in database leaks. This incident highlighted vulnerabilities in the security infrastructure of smaller regional ecommerce platforms in Southeast Asia during that period.
