MyRepoSpace

In July 2015 the popular Cydia repository hosting service MyRepoSpace suffered a major security breach. The incident occurred when an attacker gained unauthorized access to the database allegedly as a form of retaliation after the site administrators refused to remove certain pirated software tweaks. The breach resulted in the public exposure of a plaintext database containing sensitive user information. This repository was widely used by the iOS jailbreaking community to host and share third party applications and modifications not authorized by Apple. The leak compromised the security of hundreds of thousands of users who utilized the platform for their mobile customization needs.
