NeedMine

In late 2017 the Minecraft gaming server NeedMine suffered a significant data breach. An unauthorized party managed to compromise the server database resulting in the public exposure of sensitive player information. The incident involved approximately 600000 records containing player identities and technical connection data. The breach was particularly concerning as it included passwords stored in Authme hash format which posed a risk to users reusing credentials across other platforms. The leaked data was eventually circulated within the gaming community and darknet forums.
