NetProspex

In 2016 a massive database belonging to NetProspex a sales and marketing data provider owned by Dun and Bradstreet was exposed online. The breach contained records for approximately 33 million corporate professionals. The incident occurred due to an unsecured server that allowed public access to the data. Information included detailed professional profiles such as full names email addresses job titles direct phone numbers and workplace details. This leak was significant because it provided a massive target list for social engineering and phishing attacks against corporate entities.
