In January 2025 the Vietnamese music platform Nhacdj.vn suffered a data breach impacting approximately 130000 users. The incident exposed sensitive personal information stored in their database. The breach included user credentials and personal details such as full names and physical addresses. Passwords were found to be stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm which is highly susceptible to cracking. This exposure allows potential unauthorized access to accounts and facilitates targeted phishing campaigns against the platforms user base of Vietnamese DJ music enthusiasts.
