In late 2011 the Nokia Developer forum was compromised due to a SQL injection vulnerability. This security breach resulted in the unauthorized access to user account details including email addresses and in some instances birth dates or website URLs. The incident occurred because an attacker exploited a flaw in the forum software to access the underlying database. Nokia responded by taking the forum offline and notifying affected users. The breach highlighted vulnerabilities in legacy forum systems used by major technology companies at the time.
