On February 5 2018 a significant data breach involving the Ukrainian logistics giant Nova Poshta was reported. An unauthorized individual put two databases up for sale on the dark web containing sensitive information of approximately 8 million users. The first database included personal details such as full names phone numbers and email addresses while the second database contained more technical data and passport information although the publicly traded versions primarily focused on contact and delivery details. The incident raised major concerns regarding the security of customer data within the largest private delivery service in Ukraine.
