National Public Data

In late 2023 a major data breach occurred at Jerico Pictures Inc doing business as National Public Data. A third party threat actor gained unauthorized access to the systems in December 2023. The incident resulted in the exposure of a massive dataset containing personal identifiers of hundreds of millions of individuals. The leaked information appeared on dark web forums in early 2024 and was later released for free. The data includes highly sensitive identifiers used for background checks and fraud prevention services which significantly increases the risk of identity theft and financial fraud on a global scale.
