Nvidia

In February 2022 the American technology giant Nvidia suffered a major cyberattack by the Lapsus ransom group. The threat actors claimed to have exfiltrated 1 TB of data from the internal systems. The breach compromised sensitive proprietary information and the personal data of thousands of employees. The leaked files included source code for hardware drivers and DLSS technology. Additionally the breach exposed employee credentials including email addresses and NTLM hashed passwords which were later cracked by researchers and malicious actors in the wild.
