Ok.ru 2024

In October 2024 information regarding users of the social network Odnoklassniki also known as ok.ru was gathered through automated parsing of account recovery forms. The process exploited features that display associated phone numbers age and region of residence in plain text while email addresses and names were partially masked. By cross referencing these findings with existing data breaches attackers managed to deanonymize significant portions of the user base. This large scale collection involved approximately 320 million phone numbers previously seen in other leaks with 100 million linked to active accounts on the platform.
