In June 2020 a significant data collection event occurred involving the Ukrainian classifieds platform OLX.ua. An attacker used automated parsing techniques to scrape approximately 4.5 million advertisements from the site. The resulting database was made public and contained personal identifiers and listing details. The incident occurred despite the platform having faced previous security challenges related to data exposure. The data dump included specific seller details associated with millions of unique listings across various categories on the platform.
