About this leak
In August 2017 a security researcher discovered a massive collection of credentials belonging to the Onliner Spambot malware. The data was found on an open web server located in the Netherlands. This leak was not a direct breach of a single service but rather a massive aggregation of credentials used by the botnet to bypass spam filters. The collection contained over 711 million email addresses and several million plain text passwords harvested from previous data breaches and malware campaigns globally. This remains one of the largest credential dumps discovered in history.
