OnlineSim

In August 2025 the OnlineSim platform which provides virtual phone numbers for online registrations experienced a massive data collection incident. An attacker utilized automated parsing techniques by repeatedly ordering and cancelling virtual numbers to map available assets. This methodical scraping resulted in a database containing approximately 240000 phone numbers. While no personal user data or credentials were included the primary risk involves the identification of temporary phone numbers which can be used by security systems to flag or block accounts associated with these virtual identities.
