In August 2021 an unsecured database belonging to the online travel agency Onlinetours was discovered exposed on the internet without password protection. The leak contained personal information of approximately 85000 customers. The exposed records included sensitive details such as full names dates of birth passport numbers email addresses and phone numbers. Additionally information regarding specific travel bookings and purchased tours was accessible to unauthorized parties due to this server misconfiguration.
