OnRPG

In July 2016 the online gaming community OnRPG experienced a significant security breach affecting its vBulletin forum database. The incident resulted in the unauthorized access and exposure of sensitive user credentials and technical identifiers. The hackers managed to obtain data including usernames and email addresses along with IP addresses used during registration or login. Furthermore passwords were compromised which were stored using the vBulletin hashing algorithm making them vulnerable to cracking attempts. This leak exposed approximately one million members of the platform to potential credential stuffing and phishing attacks.
