In August 2022 the Novosibirsk based shoe wholesaler Opt-Opt-Opt.ru suffered a data breach due to a cyberattack. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 11400 registered users. The leaked database includes sensitive details such as email addresses, full names, mobile phone numbers, physical addresses, and place of employment. Furthermore, user passwords were compromised in the form of MD5 hashes with salt, which poses a significant security risk for individuals reusing credentials across different platforms.
