In October 2023 the threat actor group known as Haucca Group UHG claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on the Russian insurance company OSK. The resulting data breach exposed the personal information of over one million unique users. The leaked files contained a wide range of sensitive data including contact details personal identification numbers and automotive information. Furthermore the leak included user passwords stored as MD5 hashes which are susceptible to cracking techniques allowing potential unauthorized access to accounts. The scale of the incident highlights a significant compromise of the companys internal database security.
