A significant data breach impacted the Belarusian online retail chain known as the Island of Cleanliness and Taste which operates the ostrov-shop.by website. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal details for over 660 thousand registered users and approximately 800 thousand order records. The leaked information includes sensitive customer data such as full names, mobile phone numbers, email addresses, physical delivery addresses, and precise geolocation coordinates. Additionally, user account security was compromised as passwords stored as bcrypt hashes were part of the exposed dataset. The scale of the incident highlights a major security failure for one of the largest specialized retail chains in Belarus.
