OtoMoto is Polands largest automotive classifieds platform and part of the OLX Group. In early 2024 reports emerged regarding data scraping and potential unauthorized access to user account information including contact details and advertisement metadata. The incident primarily involved the harvesting of public and semi-private data from the platform through automated means and vulnerabilities in API endpoints. This exposed user identifiers and phone numbers associated with vehicle listings which can be used for targeted phishing and social engineering attacks against car sellers and buyers.
