About this leak
In January 2020 the Spanish based t-shirt design and retail platform Pampling suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 383000 users. The incident involved an unauthorized access to their database which resulted in the exposure of sensitive customer details including account credentials. The passwords were stored using the weak MD5 hashing algorithm which is highly susceptible to cracking. This security failure allowed attackers to potentially gain access to user accounts and personal profiles on the ecommerce site.
