ParagonServers

In August 2016 the private World of Warcraft server known as ParagonServers experienced a significant security breach. The incident resulted in the unauthorized access and exposure of a database containing records for approximately 400 thousand registered users. The compromised data included sensitive information such as usernames, email addresses, and IP addresses. Additionally, passwords were leaked in a hashed format using a custom algorithm combining the username and password. This breach highlights the risks associated with private gaming servers and the importance of using unique passwords across different platforms.
