In June 2024 a significant data breach occurred involving the French gaming community website ParaWorld.fr dedicated to the real time strategy game ParaWorld. The incident resulted in the unauthorized exposure of a database containing user credentials and personal identifiers. The vulnerability was exploited through a security flaw in the forum software allowing attackers to extract the member list. This leak poses a risk of credential stuffing attacks for users who reuse passwords across multiple platforms. The data was subsequently shared on various underground hacking forums and telegram channels.
