In approximately June 2013 the Spanish gaming and technology community forum Pcdiez suffered a significant data breach. The incident led to the exposure of the entire user database which included sensitive member credentials. The breach was primarily attributed to vulnerabilities in the forum software which allowed unauthorized actors to extract the database contents. This leak was widely circulated in the underground scene and later indexed by major breach notification services to inform affected users about their compromised accounts.
