In July 2023 the threat actor group known as NLB leaked a database belonging to the Russian educational contest platform Bolshaya Peremena. The breach exposed the personal data of approximately five million registered users including schoolchildren students and teachers. The leaked information specifically includes full names mobile phone numbers email addresses mailing addresses and internal training points or scores. This incident is part of a broader series of cyberattacks targeting Russian educational and youth organizations by hacktivist groups seeking to compromise large scale databases.
