Philharmonia.spb.ru

In April 2023 the official website of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia suffered a cyberattack resulting in a data breach. The incident led to the unauthorized exposure of 220 thousand user records. The leaked database includes personal information such as full names and email addresses along with security credentials. Passwords were found to be stored as MD5 hashes with salt which are vulnerable to decryption through brute force or rainbow table attacks. The breach highlights vulnerabilities in the web infrastructure of cultural institutions.
