Pokebip

In July 2015 the French Pokemon fan community website Pokebip suffered a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of personal information belonging to approximately 657000 registered subscribers. The compromised data included user email addresses, IP addresses, and usernames. Furthermore, the breach exposed passwords stored as MD5 hashes without salt, making them highly vulnerable to cracking. The leak originated from an unauthorized access to the web server database, allowing attackers to extract the complete user table.
