Pokemon Negro

In October 2016 the Spanish Pokemon fan website known as Pokemon Negro suffered a significant data breach. The incident resulted in the exposure of approximately 830000 user accounts. The breach occurred when unauthorized parties gained access to the sites backend database compromising sensitive user information. The exposed data included email addresses, IP addresses, and plaintext passwords. The website administrators did not officially respond to the security incident or notify the affected users at the time of the discovery.
