In August 2019 the fan community website Pokmn.net suffered a data breach that exposed the personal information of approximately 53600 registered users. The incident involved the unauthorized acquisition of the sites database containing sensitive member details. The leaked data included usernames and email addresses along with passwords stored as SMF hashes. This breach highlights vulnerabilities in community forum software and the risks associated with reused credentials across different gaming platforms.
