A data security incident involving Propel also known as WithPropel occurred where sensitive information was exposed due to a misconfigured cloud database. The breach allowed unauthorized access to user profiles and financial data of individuals using the platform to manage their government benefits and EBT cards. Security researchers discovered the open server which contained personal identifiers and transaction history of thousands of low income Americans.
